蓝领阶级 Blue Collar

schrader的导演处女作可真厉害，本以为是喜剧片，看着看着发现有正儿八经犯罪，最后发现整盘剧情大棋其实是在揭示阶级矛盾。richard pryor最好的电影角色没跑了。

前半段比较轻松，后半段随斯莫奇被工会暗杀而将戏剧张力发挥到极致。工人始终脱离不了工会的摆布，永远都在受操纵。表现这群蓝领阶级不论怎么改变始终都被工会操纵的绝望和屈辱。

Paul Shrader, rather renowned in his role of screenwriter (Scorsese's Driver or De Palma's Obsession) impeccably takes charge in his directorial debut. Needless to say, the writing is excellent, with sound pacing & change of character's attitudes as the stakes evolve. The treatment of a heavy topic mixes dramatic tones (e.g. tax-collecting scene), seriousness & depth (notably thanks to a grand & radical speech), and a welcome humour full of wisecracks (and a hilarious disguise during the heist!). What considerably raises the movie's worth is its substance and truth value: representing the misery of the working class and how it is maintained, from both internalist & externalist POVs.

“I can hire one half of the working class to kill the other half”你看到的阶级内部的相互攻歼其实也源于外部无形操控的剥削。得益于施拉德和他哥炉火纯青的编剧水平，群戏里角色也不是空泛的符号，对话精确地描摹了工人的血肉、情绪、动机与选择，将日常写得黑色幽默也是种本事。施拉德的视角无疑是男性的，但当他把对边缘个体的关注分散到群体，拧巴的自怜与自嘲就会被冲淡一些，同时也削弱了他投射的自恋，讽刺在角色的互相映照中变得清晰。果然为混进导演行列首作有超常发挥么。。真的觉得很不错。。

3.5 / 议题叠加（种族、工会）和类型混搭（犯罪、喜剧）的创作思路是超前的，可惜brotherhood气息太浓凸显了时代局限性。
